Project Overview
This project focused on rebuilding a fintech dashboard around a single operating principle: every screen should answer a decision, not just display a number. The previous version of the product had accumulated charts and metrics over several years without a clear hierarchy, leaving users unsure which numbers actually mattered in the moment. Our role was to strip the interface back to its essential decisions and rebuild the visual system around them, rather than simply making the existing screens look more polished. We began with a full audit of which metrics users actually acted on versus which ones they scrolled past, and that audit became the foundation of the new information hierarchy.
In a category where dashboards tend to compete on how much data they can display, the client came to us wanting the opposite a product that showed less, but made what remained impossible to misread. Their existing experience was dense, inconsistently prioritized, and required real effort to extract a clear signal from. The challenge was building a system that felt authoritative specifically because of what it chose to leave out.
Design & Frontend Approach
Once the information hierarchy was defined, we moved into interface design with a strict rule no chart or card could exist without a stated decision it was meant to support. Our process began with grayscale wireframes stripped of all color, testing whether hierarchy held up without the crutch of accent colors to guide the eye. Once validated, we introduced a disciplined dark-mode palette in Figma, using warm accent tones sparingly to mark only the metrics that required immediate attention.

Performance Under Real Data Load
Ensuring the dashboard stayed fast and legible under real trading-volume data was a core focus throughout development. Financial dashboards are often benchmarked against clean demo data that never resembles what ships to production, so we stress-tested every chart against volatile, high-frequency data sets from the outset. Rendering performance, chart redraw speed, and legibility at high data density were all validated across realistic usage conditions rather than idealized ones. The result is an interface that holds its clarity exactly when a user needs it most during volatility, not just during a calm demo.
